Privacy Policy

This policy covers the apps published by Stoiber Software LLC: Fliqit and SaleScout. The short version: the apps do their work on your phone wherever they can, there’s no account to create, and we never sell your data.
What applies to every app
- Sign-in is optional and minimal. SaleScout offers Sign in with Apple or Google so your favorites and stats follow you between devices; Fliqit signs you in with Google so it can add events to your Google Calendar. We keep only what the sign-in provides, an account ID and your email address, and never your password.
- No selling data. We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
- No third-party ads. There are no ad networks in our apps.
- Purchases go through Apple. Subscriptions and in-app purchases are billed by the App Store; we never see your payment details. SaleScout uses RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active, which receives an anonymous app-user ID and the App Store receipt.
- Diagnostics. If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. We can’t identify you from them. We don’t use any other analytics or crash-reporting service.
Fliqit
Fliqit has its own privacy policy at getfliqit.com/privacy.html, and that is the policy that applies to the app. The short version: a screenshot you deliberately share to Fliqit is sent to Fliqit’s service, where an AI model reads out the event details. You review the draft, and only the events you approve are added to your calendar. Fliqit doesn’t read your existing events.
SaleScout
SaleScout shows yard sales, estate sales, and thrift stores near you.
What it uses
- Location. With your permission, SaleScout uses your location to center the map and find sales nearby. To fetch listings, the app sends the map area you’re looking at to our server; it doesn’t send a history of where you’ve been. If you turn on alerts for new sales near you, SaleScout can also check your location in the background, but only if you allow that separately in iOS. You can use the app without location access by moving the map yourself.
- Your account. If you sign in with Apple or Google, your favorites, saved searches, and stats are stored with your account so they follow you between devices. You can delete your account, and everything stored with it, from Profile in the app.
- Notifications. If you turn on saved-search alerts, the app asks for notification permission. Your saved searches are kept with your account so our server can compare new listings against them and send you a notification.
- SaleScout Pro. The subscription is billed and managed by Apple, with RevenueCat confirming that it’s active. Neither shares your name or card details with us.
- Maps. The map itself is provided by Apple Maps, which receives the area you view under its own privacy policy. Directions open in the maps app you choose.
Listings
Sale listings are gathered from public listing sites and from OpenStreetMap (for thrift stores), and refreshed every few hours. If a listing includes information about you that you’d like removed, email us and we’ll take care of it.
Your choices
- Turn location, calendar, or notification access off at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security. The related feature stops working; the rest of the app keeps going.
- Deleting an app deletes everything it stored on your device.
- Want to know what, if anything, we hold about you, or have it deleted? Email us. We’ll reply within 30 days.
Children
Our apps aren’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Meaningful changes will also be mentioned in the app’s release notes.
